On arrival at Bagdogra at NOON. Pickupfrom Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / – transfer to Gangtok by SEDAN – Nearly 135 kilometers 4 ½ – 5 hours’ drive – Check into hotel – Evening free to go for Ropeway: AwesomeCable Car Ride on your own expenses. This is an awesome cable car ride which starts from Deorali below the town center and takes you along a 1k.m ride to the uppermost station at Tashiling. You can see the whole of Gangtok Township from the cable car, wonderful views of the valley and the river below and of course the lovely snow peaks of Kanchenjunga on a clear day. And then roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center – At Hotel. Enjoy, Overnight stay at Gangtok.
After breakfast, Then half a day Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir nearly 40 kilometers – The Lake is oval shaped lake nearly 50 feet deep – Generally covered in snow for most of the year the year – This lake is home to the Brahmini ducks & many migratory birds – Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir known to be a very holy site for all. (In case of Landslide or due to any other reasons if ( Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided). Overnight stay in Gangtok.
After breakfast, Check out, drive for the city tour of Gangtok – Visit to Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do DrulChorten (Stupa), Enchey Monastery, White Hall, Flower Show, Tashi View Point, etc.
Then proceed to Darjeeling, Transfer to Darjeeling takes nearly 135 Kilometers 3 – 3 ½ hours – It is situated at an height of 2123 meters / 70001 feet on the top of a ridge – It is a land of breathtaking beauty, sloping tea gardens with spectacular views of the Mount Everest is popularly known as the Queen of the hills and known for Orthodox tea. Arrival at Darjeeling, Over Night stays at Darjeeling.
Early Morning at around 3:45 AM Proceed for Tiger hill, drive to 8000 feet / 2440 meters through primitive forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill. It has a panoramic view of Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga together, view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather) – On the way back visit from Tiger hill visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial & Batasia Loop – Back to hotel for breakfast – rest for an hour.
Proceed for next round, half a day Sightseeing (9 AM – 2 PM) including famous World Heritage train (UNESCO) – The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR), the internationally famous Tea Estate –Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed), Peace Pagoda – Back to hotel.
Evening free to stroll around the area on your own. Visit Chowrasta Junction Public square at the heart of Darjeeling – a great place to sit and chill, meet new people from different cultures, all age groups. Multiple curio stores are available for shopping, Lovely place for evening walk. Restaurants are available for all kinds of food. Chowrasta visit not to be missed, highly recommended. Don’t miss it. Return from there, and Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
After breakfast transfer to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) – Nearly 105 kilometers 3 ½ – 4 hours’ drive – to Catch a flight back home.
